How to Win Any Argument on Social Media, Every Time

Allow me to demonstrate how to easily create a screen shot of a social media post, regardless of the content you wish to present. Any modern browser provides the functionality to manipulate the HTML and CSS content of a webpage and render it as the original. This method has been available for years and it is highly probable that many social media posts that are screenshotted are fraudulent in nature. It is recommended to utilize a laptop or computer with a browser that provides developer mode for this purpose. Here are the steps to follow:

Step 1: Open a browser and navigate to a social media site, such as Twitter. Select a tweet that you wish to modify. In this example, I will provide instructions for Google Chrome, which can be easily adapted for other similar browsers.

Step 2: Highlight the text or image of the tweet that you wish to alter.

Step 3: Right-click on the selected content and click on "Inspect".

Step 4: A window will appear displaying the HTML and CSS code of the tweet. Locate the section where the text or image is stored, denoted as "A". Double-click on the area marked as "B".

Step 5: Edit the text or image to your desired content. In this example, the tweet initially stated "Innovation Means Growth" and was modified to say "Honestly, this generation of Tories have fucked the ENTIRE country, even the damn lawyers are going on strike. I'm going to quit."

Step 6: Highlight the image URL in the developer tools and substitute it with another Twitter image. For instance, I used an image related to Sunak that another user had previously shared.

The end result is a convincing tweet that can easily deceive those who are unaware of its manipulated nature. Have fun experimenting with this process!

Happy chaos folks!

So, how does this help you win arguments?  Well, you can just make anything up you want and attribute it to pretty much whoever you want.  It's shitty, and I don't encourage you to do it, as ever, this blog is about pointing out some of the more technical things that are going on on the web at the moment.
